No more holidays

Hi!

Today summer holiday in Ozzie land is officially over...what a pitty!
I have had such a good time over the last few weeks. I'll be writing this one in English since my English speaking friends keep telling me they can't read any of the Dutch typing I've done so far.

Yesterday was a bit of a strange day. Me and Helen went to the beach here at Coogee and it was extremely busy, probably cause everyone had to go back to work today after the summer break. And there were these gigantic waves just breaking into the surf, amazing to see, and pretty rare for Coogee Beach. Over the weekend we've been going out and then me, Helen and Dani got invited to this party in Bondi. Was supposed to be a big party, but when we arrived, there was no one left. So we ended up in the Coogee Bay Hotel, like always. We have now decided not to go there anymore during the week, just only in over the weekends.

The sun was not even out all the time yesterday, but I have tanned so much and my whole face was sore at night. Even with factor 30 on. Maybe I should look for factor 50, if that exists..

Since new year I have decided to cook more than I have done so far. So me going into to supermarkt now every day to buy fresh groceries and fruit to keep myself healthy and to cut on the expenses of going out for dinner so much.

Today I went online for most of the day to look for a job. One of the recruitment agencies called me today to tell me that the position I applied for with a bank here is not happening. He had already told me before that they believe I am too senior for the position. But then today he told me that they also wanted it to be filled by a permanent hire (I'm a contract hire) so I guess that must be the real reason then...

Tomorrow I've got 2 more interviews coming up, so I keep my fingers crossed. I really want to work again. Have not been doing my job for 8 months now..which is a bit too long. I miss my job and being a consultant and having a bit more structure in my daily life. So let's see what happens after tomorrow :)
